If you could do it over, what would you say was a "do" or "don't" in hiring vendors or planning the day? May we share your answers? Your full name will not be posted.
DO start researching vendors right away - they book up fast! And the sooner you start researching you can see where you can bundle services or get recommendations on other vendors (i.e., vendor partnerships or simply recommendations). Everything must fit together, so you need to know requirements for your venue and vendors and make sure it is a match. DON'T forget about your budget. Everything adds up quickly. Make sure you know where you are willing to splurge a little and where you can cut back. We cut back on stationary - didn't have actually wedding programs and nobody seemed to care or notice (we had a sign detailing the ceremony and wedding party, so didn't need to spend money on individual programs).

Your Comments and/or Suggestions
It would have been nicer to know who our DJ was going to be sooner than a week and a half before the wedding because our menu options were due two weeks in advance so we weren't able to ask preference on meal (I guessed chicken would be safe, but out DJ was a vegetarian... we put something together, but I felt bad we couldn't offer her the vegetarian option). Everything seemed to go off without a hitch (as far as I, the bride, was aware anyway), and people were having a blast on the dance floor - so a job well done! Thank you.
