What do you feel was the biggest factor in your decision to hire us when comparing to other companies (price, advertising, song list)? Do you recall any other DJ services you considered?
We weren't really sure where to begin with looking for DJ services. We had checked out a few other ones at the big Wedding Fair in downtown Minneapolis, but I can't recall what their names were. We decided to go with you guys because you have worked with River Oaks before and know the venue and understand the stage. We used that as a decision maker in going with you for our DJ services.
What was your overall wedding budget excluding honeymoon and rings?
Our overall budget depended on how much we had saved. Starting from when we got engaged we started putting money into a savings account. The Reception food and fees were $6000, Flowers were $400, photography was $2400, cake was $200. Everything ended up costing around $12000 give or take $1000.
If you did not use us for invitations, programs, gifts, or dance instruction can you tell us what affected your decision and/or what we can offer that would have been more attractive to you?
When you offered invitations, we had already purchased our invitations. We went through JoAnn fabrics and printed our own. We are still getting compliments about them. As for the programs, we didn't want to spend a bunch of money on programs for anything because we know people just end up throwing them away. The gifts were something we wanted to be special and we just decided to go elsewhere.
If you did use us for any of our additional services can you tell us what your motivating factor was and if you were pleased with the service?
We only used you for your DJ services.
If you could do it over, what would you say was a "do" or "don't" in hiring vendors or planning the day? May we share your answers? Your full name will not be posted.
Plan way ahead of time. It is never too early to start planning. We were engaged for over a year and a half and we were still rushing down to the last night before trying to get things accomplished. And start saving immediately. Even if it's $50 a paycheck. It adds up and it really helps.
